Local Company Big In European Market

Local conveyor manufacturer Sovex Systems’ bulging order book is great news for jobs and prospects in the Prenton area. The company’s 2007 output is now almost completely sold and the factory is working flat out to keep up with demand for its innovative lorry loading and un-loading conveyors.

Managing Director David Lindfield is delighted: “Our Company has established itself with major European companies such as Business Post and Parcelforce as a supplier of high quality conveyor systems. In Prenton we build highly reliable machines and that reliability enabled us to beat-off our much larger competitors. The credit for that must go the workforce - which is exceptional.”

Sovex Systems recently expanded its production facilities and workforce as additional capacity was essential for the company to land these latest contracts. The company also improved its quality control and service administration systems, which now set the standard within their industry. David elaborates: “We have a highly sophisticated software system that enables major clients such as Parcelforce to log-on and check the servicing of their machines. Utilising GPS tracking and real-time monitoring they can see where specific service engineers are and when the service will be finished. This is a big point in our favour as it gives our clients a lot of confidence.”

With new products being introduced next year and demand for their existing products very strong Sovex Systems is looking at further expansion. Smaller, van loading conveyors and new, mobile lorry loading conveyors will mean new customers, and with demand being driven by our desire for home shopping, the future for Sovex Systems seems very bright.
