Unilever's Safety Solution Locks Into Place

Mike Hilton, Managing Director of Caljan Rite-Hite, has been re-elected as president of the Automated Materials Handling Systems Association (AMHSA), for the third time.

AMHSA is a professional association that has represented the materials handling systems industry for over 19 years. Founded in 1986, it is recognised as one of the leading bodies for technical information relating to the industry, equipment and suppliers.

Mike Hilton has worked in the industry for 25 years, joining Caljan Rite-Hite, which manufactures conveyor systems and loading dock safety products, in 2004. He was first elected as AMHSA president in 2002, and has since endeavoured to achieve the association's mission statement: "to promote and further the industry by striving to educate those involved in Logistics & Materials Handling as to the benefits of automation".

To ensure its members are kept up to date with this and other machinery directives and white papers, AMHSA has recently updated its website, which can be found at www.amhsa.co.uk. The web site enables members to visit the site and download information relevant to their type of business.

Mike commented, "It is vital that members belong to an industry body that is committed to maintaining high professional standards as well as the highest standards of quality and service. AMHSA exists to set industry standards and help its members provide robust, quality systems supported by dynamic service levels. I am very proud to have been appointed president for the third time, and hope that my involvement, along with the new website, will help AMHSA progress through the first decade of the 21st century."
