A Service A Day Keeps High Costs AT Bay

Leading manufacturer of advanced material handling systems for loading and unloading cargo, Caljan Rite-Hite, is offering new service packages for clients, to control the lifetime costs of materials handling equipment.

Any company that uses products such as telescopic boom conveyors, dock levellers and associated conveyor systems will be faced with not only the cost of buying the equipment, but also maintaining it. Breakdowns, failures and unplanned maintenance over the life of the machine can end up costing more than the initial purchase. Caljan Rite-Hite’s new service packages will control and reduce these costs, as well as improving overall safety in the workplace. All Caljan Rite-Hite service inspections are designed to highlight any issues relating to health and safety, these being dealt with as a matter of urgency within the inspection/service routine.

Users of Caljan Rite Hite’s products or similar products manufactured by others, can choose to have their machines regularly maintained under a fixed price contract by Caljan Rite Hite. This minimises the likelihood of breakdowns and eliminates unplanned costs. Service contracts from one to seven years in duration can be selected, and they all include preventative maintenance, breakdowns and call outs. Contracts can also be tailored to include the cost of all replacement parts over the contract lifetime.

As part of its new service deals, Caljan Rite Hite is also offering companies the opportunity to acquire new products under a lease purchase agreement, including all maintenance costs. Together with attractive options in respect of extended warranties on the equipment linked to regular service visits.

Steve Nuttall, Sales Manager for Caljan Rite Hite commented: “Regular servicing of materials handling equipment makes sound economic sense. Breakdowns reduce productivity and increase costs. Routine inspections and maintenance are good practice to prevent this from happening, and our new maintenance packages mean they are within the reach of all companies.”
