New Boom In Conveyor Technology
Caljan Rite-Hite, leading manufacturer of advanced material handling systems for loading and unloading cargo has re-engineered and re-designed the boom conveyor. The new Caljan Safe Track boom conveyor is probably the safest machine of its type in the world.
Safe Track has a new and innovative system of cover plates enclosing the underside of the boom. This unique feature prevents workers fingers or clothing from getting into the mechanism of the boom, thereby removing the potential of an accident and injury.
The new Safe Track conveyor extends to a class leading 12.3m, and has a load capacity of 50kg per linear metre. Available with either a 600mm or 800mm wide belt, Safe Track can load or unload the largest parcels from the longest vehicles. It is electrically powered with the option of a hydraulic elevation system.
A user-friendly joystick control enables the operator to control the horizontal position and elevation of the boom. It is robust, yet sensitive enough to enable the operator to position the boom precisely. Pull towards you to extend the boom, push away to retract. The belt direction (load or unload) and activation is controlled using push buttons on the leading edge of the boom.
Made from only the highest quality steel and components, Safe Track will be very reliable. Routine maintenance of the conveyors' mechanism and belts is easily accomplished without the need of specialist tools.
Caljan Rite-Hite continues to develop cost effective, innovative and safe solutions for its customers. Safe Track demonstrates the company's commitment to producing machines that enable efficient loading and unloading of cargo. This commitment has enabled the company to become the largest supplier of boom conveyors to the parcel handling industry in Europe, with most major carriers using the company's products.
