New MD takes Over At Schoeller Arca Systems
“This is a great opportunity to take the UK Company on to the next stage in its development” said Johan Thans speaking at the announcement of his appointment as the company’s new Managing Director. “Schoeller Arca Systems UK is in rude health with a very strong order book and highly motivated staff. I am looking forward to leading the company on to further success and growth.”
Johan takes over the role of Managing Director, Schoeller Arca UK with immediate effect. He is based in the company’s European headquarters in Hardenburg, Holland but will spend a large part of his time in the UK working with his local managers. In the UK, Schoeller Arca Systems is based in prestigious offices in Abingdon.
Johan sits on the Schoeller Arca main Management board in his role as Managing Director North-West Europe, and will direct new initiatives within the UK and Irish markets.
A recent expansion of the company’s activities in Ireland was Johan’s first initiative, aimed at increasing the company’s sales in the country during 2008. “Our products are particularly suited to the food and high-tech industries” explained Johan. “Ireland with its strong economy and vibrant agricultural and electronics industries is an obvious area for us to grow our business. I have appointed Peter Doyle as the Business Manager for the region and we have embarked on an exciting programme of sales promotion and direct sales activity.”
Having been with the company for 20 years Johan brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Having a clear vision of how he wants to direct the company and grow it further means these are exciting times for Schoeller Arca in the UK.
