Name Change For Perstorp Plastic Systems
As 1999 draws to a close, Perstorp Plastic Systems is preparing to launch itself into the new millennium with a new name, and a new identity. Following the management buy-out in 1998, Perstorp Plastic Systems is changing its name to “Arca Systems”, a move intended to reinforce the break from Perstorp AB.
The name-change also defines Arca Systems as a tight, lean, focussed business, concentrating firmly on the developing market for re-usable transit packaging. New legislation concerning packaging waste has cardboard users carefully considering their methods. Alongside growing awareness of the environmental and financial benefits of reusable transit packaging, companies are increasingly turning to Arca Systems to provide the solution.
“Arca”, Latin for “box”, was selected to be the new name as it has no unfortunate connotations in other languages, and the company name “Arca Systems” is available for use worldwide - very important considerations when trading globally
The company has achieved a lot since the break from Perstorp AB; 800,000 pallets have been ordered by a Swedish consortium, the largest single order ever placed for plastic pallets! Their lightweight KLT system has been approved by the German automotive industry, which means they are set to become a major partner to the industry OEMs and 1st tier suppliers throughout Europe. In addition to this, the company have responded directly to a request from Hays Crate Services, and have introduced one of the latest and biggest innovations in the Grocery sector - the UniLog folding box.
